#10.5 17 & Under as of January 1, 2021 • Capped at #6 Heeler
A TOTAL OF 20 QUALIFIER EVENTS WILL BE HELD IN 2021
ALL QUALIFIERS WILL BE THE SAME FORMAT: 4 for $150 | Enter 3X | Pick or Draw
PROOF OF CLASSIFICATION is required. You may show proof of classification from ANY association in order to enter. If a roper is not classified correctly, the Producer and/or Junior World Team Roping reserves the right to adjust any ropers number at any time.
FIRST PLACE IN THE AVERAGE OF EACH DIVISION AT EACH QUALIFIER WILL SECURE A POSITION AT THE JUNIOR WORLD FINALS IN LAS VEGAS. If a roper wins a Qualifier, they may still compete at remaining Qualifiers for accumulated earnings toward the World Championship standings. If a roper has already won a Qualifier, and wins an additional Qualifier, that qualifying position will be rolled down to the next contestant in the Average of that roping that has not already qualified for the Finals.
ALL QUALIFIERS WILL PAY MONEY IN BOTH THE FIRST ROUND AND THE AVERAGE. If the Qualifier has full rounds, money will be paid in each full round. Average payout depends on the number of teams.
ALL MONEY WON WILL COUNT TOWARD WORLD STANDINGS, including Round and Average winnings (unless the contestant did not pay for their extra run).
EXTRA RUNS may be given at Qualifier events. If a Contestant does not pay for their extra run, their winnings will NOT count toward World Standing earnings, however they will earn half of the money awarded.
ROPERS MAY QUALIFY BOTH HEADING AND HEELING IN EACH DIVISION.
20 POSITIONS IN EACH DIVISION WILL BE AWARDED BASED OFF OF QUALIFICATIONS.
10 POSITIONS WILL BE AWARDED BASED OFF OF ACCUMULATED EARNINGS IN EACH REGION AS FOLLOWS:
WESTERN – 4 Positions
CENTRAL – 4 Positions
EASTERN – 2 Positions
CONTESTANTS DO NOT HAVE TO ROPE AT THE FINALS WITH THE PARTNER THEY QUALIFIED WITH. They may choose from any Qualified Top 30 roper.
NUMBER CHANGES that affect any #10.5 ropers ability to compete at the finals will be dealt with as individual situations. Ropers may be allowed to compete, or could be rolled up to the Open depending on the circumstances and severity of number change.
